Find Your Furever with Layla, at Pawsitive Cattitudes

Layla's waiting to be by your side

Name: Layla
Age: 3 years old
Gender: Female
What type of home do I need? See Laylas's Gallery below

Personality & Features

Layla is the sort of cat who makes you earn her affection – and that is exactly what makes it so special.

At first glance, Layla can come across as aloof, suspicious, and entirely unimpressed by your existence. She is not the type of cat who will come marching up to a stranger demanding cuddles. Instead, she will sit at a safe distance, watch you carefully, and make her own mind up about you in her own time. She likes to assess people properly before deciding whether they are worthy of her attention.

But once you are in, you are really in.

The moment Layla decides she trusts you, she transforms into an incredibly loving, affectionate girl. She will seek you out for fuss, quietly follow you from room to room, and settle herself beside you as though she has always belonged there. She loves a gentle stroke, a cosy spot near her favourite person, and being spoken to like the queen she clearly believes she is. Beneath that guarded exterior is a cat who wants nothing more than to bond deeply with someone and have a person of her very own.

Layla is not for someone looking for an instantly cuddly cat who will leap into their lap on day one. She is for someone who will let her come to them, who will smile when she gives them a cautious look from across the room, and who will understand that every tiny sign of trust is a huge milestone. The first time she chooses to sit beside you, rub against your legs, or curl up near you, it feels like a privilege.

Whoever gives Layla the chance she deserves will gain a fiercely loyal, wonderfully loving companion with a big personality, strong opinions, and an enormous heart hidden beneath that slightly grumpy exterior.

Sociability & Special Considerations

Layla is very much a “one family, one home” sort of cat. She thrives in a calm environment where she can settle at her own pace and build trust slowly. She would suit someone who understands that not every cat shows affection immediately, and that the most rewarding relationships are sometimes the ones that take a little patience.

One thing Layla is very clear about, however, is that she does not share well with other cats. In fact, she despises them with a level of conviction that is almost impressive. The mere sight of another cat is enough to ruin her entire day, and she has absolutely no interest in making feline friends. Layla would like it formally noted that she wishes to be the only cat in the household, on the street, and preferably in the general vicinity.  For that reason, Layla needs a home where she will be the only pet. She wants all of the attention, all of the affection, all of the comfy spots, and all of the treats entirely to herself – and honestly, after meeting her, you may find yourself agreeing that she deserves exactly that.

    Effortlessly Elegant

    Name: Sylvester
    Age: 8 years old
    Gender: Male
What type of home do I need? See Sylvester's Gallery below

    Personality & Features

If you're looking for the perfect blend of unique beauty and avante-garde personality, then here is your perfect match. Sylvester is a one-of-a-kind, unique individual, who is the best possible companion that an an EXPERIENCED cat owner could ask for.

He absolutely loves human company and needs to be the only pet in the house, as he thinks everything belongs to him (including his humans!) He is incredibly affectionate too, but if over-stimulated then may give little love-bites, therefore would be best with no children living in the household.

Every time you sit down, Sylvester will be on your knee, showing you love, but if no knee is available then he is quite happy sleeping in his favorite hooded bed or under a blanket. He is very inquisitive and likes to 'help' wherever he can! He loves being talked too and will look into your eyes, loving the interaction. If using a laptop or tablet he will place his paw on your hand giving you his personal assistance - just be careful which websites he steers you towards!

Sylvester is, without doubt, a wonderful cat with an original personality who will be a wonderful addition to the right household - perfection personified, he is most definitely a one-off, original masterpiece.

    Sociability & Special Considerations

Sylvester would be perfectly happy as an indoor cat, or with a Catio. A garden would be fine, but it must be entirely secure with no way whatsoever of leaving the safety it provides.

He MUST be the only pet in the household - whilst he tolerates well-natured dogs, he is happiest as the sole occupant of his human's heart and home, so this will be what we are looking to provide for him.

Find Your Furever with Kara, at Pawsitive Cattitudes

      Calmness for Kara

      Name: Kara
      Age: 5 years old
      Gender: Female
What type of home do I need? See Kara's Gallery below

      Personality & Features

Kara has been lovingly rehabilitated in our rescue over a long period of time, as it has taken an incredible amount of love, work and patience to bring her back to the cat she was always born to be.

Over the course of a year, she has slowly adjusted to her new life here and has taken her whole time to fully trust her wonderful foster-carer enough to allow much-wanted strokes and to be picked up without freezing.

Kara is a beautiful cat who has a very sweet nature, but she will still hide away if unsure of visitors to her home, soon reappearing to see what is going on!

Anyone lucky enough to have beautiful Kara in their home must have significant patience to allow her to trust on her own terms; she will get there if treated as she needs to be, and once she does trust you, it's the best feeling in the world. Kara is not a lap cat (but one day she may be) but she will lay next to you or on the back of the sofa behind your head.

      Sociability & Special Considerations

Kara absolutely needs a catio and will be perfectly happy with that. A cat-proof garden is not ideal for her, as she loves the outdoors, but this has previously resulted in her going backwards in terms of trust and human companionship.

She will be happy on her own or with another confident cat; she is also fine with calm dogs.

Find Your Furever with Florence, at Pawsitive Cattitudes

        Floofy Florence

        Name: Florence
        Age: 6 years old
        Gender: Female
What type of home do I need? See Florence's Gallery below

        Personality & Features

Florence absolutely loves to be up high when she's on her own - on top of fridges & kitchen cupboards - and will hugely appreciate it if you make her a cat wall!

On her own, without other cats, she is demanding of love and cuddles with her foster carer constantly. She perches on the back of the sofa to sit for hours with her head on a shoulder, purring away and having little head strokes. Be prepared to get nothing done when she comes to sit on your lap and demand that you stay there as her chief pamperer.

However, this won't happen overnight in a new home, and anyone meeting or wanting to share their lives with Florence needs to understand that it will take time and patience for her to be like this with a new person, as she had a very difficult time in her previous life and patience is needed to gain her trust.

Florence is a cat who is incredibly loving and affectionate - but this will take time as she gets to know you. She struggles with visits, as people (understandably) only stay for around an hour, so her true personality never properly shines through and she doesn't show the best of who she is.

        Sociability & Special Considerations

Having learnt that people can be kind and loving, Florence has not had the easiest of starts, so MUST have a home where any children are consistently calm and considerate. Ideally, either everyone would be over the age of 14, or the children in the home are very soft-natured and there are no other regular young visitors.

She would do best in a home on her own, with an adult owner, as she is most happy in the company of just one or two people, or just with her her own beautiful thoughts.

Find Your Furever with Luna, at Pawsitive Cattitudes

          Lovely Luna

          Name: Luna
          Age: 5 years old
          Gender: Female
What type of home do I need? See Luna's Gallery below

          Personality & Features

Luna is a long-haired, beautiful girl who knows exactly what she wants. If she likes you, you will have her love forever; she will lay on her back getting tummy fusses, stretch across your knee for cuddles or even lay on the back of the sofa with her head on your shoulder while you watch tv together.

Luna has a very particular set of skills, and part of that is knowing who she likes and what she wants. If she wants some alone time (rare - if she chooses you, she likes you!), then she will turn her head away from you to be left alone.

Luna has the nature of a gentle giant, mixed with the spiciness of a naughty tortie and despite being a big cat, she definitely thinks she's a little lap kitten!

          Sociability & Special Considerations

Luna MUST have outdoor access, via either a catio or a fully secure, cat-proof garden. She is fine with small cats and friendly dogs, although dislikes too many other animals around her.

She may potentially settle with another confident cat that she can co exist with, or could be homed with one of our young teen kittens that she already has a bond with.

Due to her sometimes choosing to have her own space, Luna cannnot be homed with young children.

            Personality & Features

Sassy has such a beautiful nature. However, she takes a long time to adjust. She is very wary of new people, but once she puts her trust in someone, they will have a friend for life

            Sociability & Special Considerations

Stunning Sassy needs a very special quiet home willing to give her all the time she needs to learn to trust her new people.
