Spot-on wormers are the easiest (but not the lowest priced) way to effectively treat your cats for worms.
We use Dronspot Spot-On Wormer for cats and kittens, as it's suitable from 8 weeks of age and over 0.5kg bodyweight, to treat tapeworms, roundworms, and hookworms.

A more cost effective option than spot-ons (but more difficult to persuade your cat to have!) are Drontal Wormer Tablets.
The ones for Small and Medium Cats (under 4kg) are for the treatment of intestinal worms in cats and kittens over 6 weeks of age; please check dosage before administering to your cat.

There are a whole host of flea treatments available on the market - some good, some very questionable. Most vet-prescribed treatments are reliable and effective, although we have found over the last few years that fleas have become more immune to fipronil-based products than previously, so we tend to avoid these. We NEVER recommend supermarket own-brands, Johnsons, Bob Martin or Beaphar.

Our absolute staple. We have NEVER had a flea problem in any of our foster homes, despite having many cats brought in who have had serious infestations when they arrived. A spot-on treatment, used monthly, that kills fleas and larvae within 24 hours of application

Good for treating ear mites, lice, fleas and roundworm, including canine lungworm. A monthly spot-on treatment, available from vets or retail sites with a prescription.

A good choice for those who want to use a combined flea and wormer treatment. Spot-on treatment for fleas, ear mites, heartworm, roundworm and hookworm in cats and controls flea allergy dermatitis. Available from vets or retail sites with a prescription.

Spray directly onto carpets, rugs, flooring, skirting boards and other potential flea hideouts to protect your home from infestations for up to a year. NOT to be sprayed directly onto pets.
Indorex is also approved by the HSE2 to control house dust mites, which can be a trigger for allergic diseases in pets as well as in people.
