Please - keep your cat safe & healthy by neutering them, at a cost you can afford.
We understand that being the best of owners is about commitment, but that our hearts are often bigger than our bank accounts.
It's hard to get home if nobody knows where you live. We microchip and register your cat for you for less than the cost of a takeaway pizza - because once they're missing, it's too late to wish you'd done it sooner
Here's how it works:
Eligibility
- The scheme is open to any people on a low income.
- The scheme is NOT available to breeders or other rescues, as it is to help those individuals who are struggling the most.
- You must live in a TS postcode and provide proof of address
- You can apply for more than one cat to be neutered; please supply full details of each cat
IMPORTANT - How does it work?
- Neutering takes place every Monday
- The latest that bookings can be made is 5pm on the Thursday before
- Your cat MUST be with us in Eaglescliffe between 7pm and 8pm on the Sunday evening.
- Once booked, the LATEST that the date for neutering can be changed is by 4pm on the Friday, as this is when we will confirm all details with the vets for the Monday appointments
We transport all cats to and from the vet clinic
- YOU are responsible for getting the cat to US.
- If the cat is not with us by then, for ANY reason, then the voucher is forfeited and WILL be used to neuter a rescue cat instead (either one of the ones we have in our care, or from another rescue).
- This includes cases where the cat has escaped; keep them in a secure room if you have any concerns about them going missing.
YOU are responsible for collecting your cat from us, on the same Monday as neutering has taken place.
This is usually around mid to late afternoon
These conditions are present to make sure no vouchers are wasted!
Costs

Females - £50
Pregnant Females - To be discussed

Please note: These prices cover the neuter, our fuel costs to Bishop Auckland and back, and a small amount that will be allocated to a specific fund toward neutering stray cats. Our volunteers receive no benefit of any kind for carrying out this service.
This scheme is open to ALL individual cat owners, no matter what your financial situation
It is NOT available to breeders, as their purposes are at odds with the aims & objectives of our charity. We will not microchip litters, in order to avoid this situation.
How does it work?
- Your cat will be microchipped by our qualified team
- We will register the cat to your details, on an approved DEFRA database while you wait
Costs
- If you bring the cat to us in Yarm / Eaglescliffe, then all you pay is £10 per cat / kitten
There are no hidden:

If you would like us to come to you, this may be possible (depending on area) for two or more cats. There is an additional one-off £10 charge for this service, to cover time & travel.
